Richard Hickinbotham
Richard has over 25 years experience as an analyst. He is a qualified chartered accountant and mechanical engineer and began his City career at Hoare Govett where he worked on the top rated smaller companies team for 6 years. Richard moved to Warburgs in 1990 where he ran the UK Smaller Companies equity business before he was appointed Head of Pan-European Small and Midcap research. At Warburgs (latterly UBS), Richard was frequently rated No1 in electronics and engineering in the Reuters Small cap Survey. He has also been rated No1 for small cap sector strategy and within the top 5 for work in two other sectors. Richard moved to Investec in 2001 as Global Head of Research and was subsequently appointed co-Head of Investec Investment Banking.
